  • Ari Tessitore | Habitat Manager

Ari Tessitore was born and raised in New York City, where his passion for food began. Ari came to Wisconsin as a freshman at UW Madison, and graduated as a mechanical engineer. Along the way he fell in love with Wisconsin - the landscape, culture, food, and the people.  Ari got his first taste of farming, and found a new level of fulfillment from cultivating the land and growing food.  Ari left his job as a Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer to make food his life, working his way up to become a Chef at a fine dining Japanese restaurant in Madison. Ari’s experience of leading a kitchen, creating new dishes, and learning to respect every ingredient led to a new dream: being on a farm, sharing the food we grow, and proving that growing and raising food can sustain both the land and each of us.
