About Flynn Creek Farm
Our Mission
We strive to be a model for a healthier, more regenerative food system. We seek to create sustainable livelihoods. repair the soil, grow the healthiest food, serve it in a delicious way and make it available to all.
Produce
Flynn Creek Farm’s produce fields generate a steady stream of organic, vegetables for both our small Farm Store and restaurant chains such as Forage Kitchens, a rapidly expanding chain of healthy, fast-casual restaurants headquartered in Madison, WI. No chemicals or industrial fertilizers are used.
Livestock
Flynn Creek Farm is gradually introducing animals to its pastureland. Our native herd began with thirty sheep in 2024. In the spring of 2025, we added eight bred, black Angus cows. We will entertain custom grazing inquiries as well. CLICK HERE if you are interested in your cattle joining the herd at Flynn Creek Farm. Our rancher employs a practice of intensive grazing and managed, daily movement, sustaining our herds on a diet of organic, native grass, adding further to the health of the animals, the grasses as well as to the soil. The existence of animals on our farm attracts biodiversity and provides input for the fertility and compost which are spread throughout the farm.
Fertility
We started our fertility program in 2024, intending to increase biodiversity with our soil. We now make and sell Worm Compost, Compost Teas, Worm Char, and Biochar. See us on Sunday mornings 8:30 - 12:30 at the Northside Farmer’s Market to purchase products, OR buy them at our online shop through the link below.
Pollinator Habitat
We carved out forty acres of our farm to be conserved as pollinator habitat. We planted a native prairie mix in 2023 and have been actively maintaining it in order to turn Flynn Creek Farm into a haven for native plants, a multitude of insects and bird species. Pollinator strips are incorporated throughout the farm to draw biodiversity throughout our fields.
